Default Hello

I've been in the Jaguar family for a while now actually. My Dad bought a 2001 S-type 3.0 new. It's is a sweet car..... every bit as nice as my E-Class. He recently passed though and now the car belongs to me. Its well maintained but in need of a bit of TLC. Years ago I added a wood veneer kit to the interior and an type R mesh grill. It also sports chrome rims. I'd like to give it the attention it deserves. I'm on a quest for new headlights. The originals are all ofgged up and need to go. I also have what appears to be a bad wheel bearing on the right rear wheel. Whne the car is rolling it sounds as if there is an eighteen wheeler rolling along side me. Meaning it roars as it rolls. So I need to fix that also.

Hi Barcheta and welcome to the forum. Before you spend the money on new headlights, try having them buffed. There are several products on the market specifically made for resurfacing headlights to get rid of the "fog". Might be considerably cheaper too.

Head over to the S-type section, the folks there should be able to point you in the right direction for parts and info!

Welcome to the forum.

Good to have you with us.

Sound advice from Jamey, there are quite a few headlight threads in the S Type section.

Default Hello

Have had our 98 XK8 for a few months now. Absolutely love the car. Had been looking for one for some time and finally found our beauty. Had a few maintenance issues (front wheel bearings, water pump) to resolve but it has been well worth it.
