Default Hello!

I've just joined the forum having bought my third Jag. I owned a 3 litre X Type and an XK8 and now have a 2002 XKR which I will keep.

Its just approaching 64,000 miles, had three owners, the last being a man who lives next door to Alex Ferguson, the legendary but now former Manchester united manager!

The car was a bit untidy when I bought it in March, since then I've had the BBS wheels refurbished some bodywork tidied and added 2003 XKR decals. I'm also teaching myself the art of leather restoration. The armrest is looking ok now!

I've posted a question about various knocking noises coming from the rear, I'm hoping the remedy won't be too expensive.

Like others, I'm in love with the car regardless of the problems that need fixing, the engine sound is just superb and although in out-right performance terms its not the beast it once was, it is still a head turning car and no other I've owned has the same effect on people when I show them whats under the bonnet!

Welcome to the forum SteveTas,

Getting faster with each model change! Here' the direct link to your 'knocking' post:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...nocking-96056/

Unless it's the diff, it shouldn't be too expensive and probably nowhere near the cost of refurbishing BBS wheels.

Follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK Region section by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forum.
