Default Hello all!

Never had a Jag, or any English car before. Strongly considered an Aston DB9, but the XKR seems a much better value in many ways. Looking for post update car, ‘12 to ‘14. Special Edition or Dynamic R would be nice, rare color preferred, would consider a ‘10 or ‘11 if all the boxes were checked. Like the Cellestial Black SE in Florida, but how blue is it?
No XKR S, in my opinion ugly and cheap looking body mods. Jaguar Seattle has a very highly optioned standard ‘13 XKR in Ultimate Black. Wouldn’t even consider this car for its inflated price except for its proximity, less than two hours from home. Opinions on the car, and what a fair offer would be?
Thanks in advance for reading, and hopefully responding, Steve

Welcome to the forums Steve,

Good to have you with us. I can see you've already found your way to the XK/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thanks to all that have welcomed me! Appears a much friendlier group than some forums I’ve associated with...
Any opinions on the Jaguar Seattle 2013 XKR, or referrals to anything else?
I’ve said no more black cars... four times now. Pretty sure I mean it, but Celestial Black sure looks pretty...

Steve,

I've usually gone for various shades of blue although my current XK is BRG. I did once have a beautiful black XJ8 but discovering that black needs washing twice as often as any other colour cured me of that desire for ever!

I'll not attempt to even comment on US prices as they are way ahead of the equivalant here in the UK. However, I will say that a CPO Jaguar is always worth finding and paying extra as only the best examples qualify.

It’s been a long search but a Jaguar finally wandered into our garage, a IRR 2014 XK Dynamic R. Collector owned, turned 8100 miles on the way home from the enclosed transport drop off location. I knew it was the right car when Jason, the owner of Eurosport in Scottsdale AZ called and I if I wanted to sell it ( seriously? we’ll never know) and told me he’d cut the pre purchase inspection cost in half ‘because there’s nothing to see, the car’s almost new’. Great guy for those looking for an Indy in the Pheonix area. More info and a few pics to come in the X150 forum as I’m literally off on my maiden journey in this car.

Hello,
Decisions decisions. So many choices so little time.
Such a choice would be easy for me, any color as long as it's BLACK!
If there is more than one BLACK example, then it gets more subjective/personal and I need to sit in the driver seat for a while and see which one "talks to me."

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

LnrB, you can ‘color’ us exact opposites then. I’ve told my self “no more black cars ever!” four times now and I’m very determined to not make it five.
As a matter of fact I sold one of the all around best cars I’ve ever owned, a 997 era 911 entirely because it was black. I’m **** enough that my cars must be clean to be seen and black is a half time job I don’t need. Excuse the garage it’ll be done and photo worthy one day…

The first pic was taken it’s first night home, the second pic shortly before this morning’s departure and the third one almost 275 miles later. Had to be a rear three quarter to hide the bugs!
