Hello all
Hi My name's Dave & I'm based in the West country in Bristol.
Have just bought a 2006 X type with Sat Nav, unfortunately I assumed it had bluetooth checking teh spec on teh internet, but was wrong, so trying to investigate options. Have spoke to local Hartwells Delaer who wanted £1000 plus just to order the part, and Jaguar say that there is no prewiring in reply to my e mail, but that doesn't seem right for my vin number.
Anyway hello all & I'll try & find the right forum to raise the questions I have about alternatives in.

Congratulations on your recent acquisition.
Although Bluetooth was an option across the Jaguar range from around 2004 in the UK, it was only standard specification on a small proportion of the cars (mine being one example).
The Jaguar Bluetooth system is generic and the same equipment is fitted to X-Type, S-Type, XJ and XK models.
Retrofitting would be very costly and the X-Type 2001 to 2009 section below Jaguar Models should be able to suggest other options for you.

Congrats on the X type but sorry to hear you don't have bluetooth.
