Default Hello All

I got my first Jaguar. So far I am happy, but then again I just got it. Ihave always loved the XJ (Except for when they went with the square head andtail lights). I love how solid this car is. When you shut the door it’s aresounding, don't get any body parts in the way, thump.

I plan on doing most work on the car myself, and am looking forward tolearning from the forum on how to make owning a Jaguar as economical aspossible (I do emphasize as possible). This is not my daily driver, but will beenjoyed on weekends and holidays (oh how I wish everyday was a holiday).

Anyway looking forward to talking to you and learning new things.

Brian

Welcome to the forum Brian,

Congratulations on the VdP.

Follow this link XJ ( X308 ) XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the US Southwest Region section by following this link Southwest US - AZ TX NM OK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

find out what the normal maintance & what he mileage it should be done at ( like timing chain adjustment rollers) it will save you having to fix them later when they break and do demage to other parts of engine if you do this than you should get the jag to last along time
