Default Hello All - New member here from TN

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am in the final decision making process for a 2017 F-Pace 35t Prestige edition which would be my first ever Jaguar. The looks of the car got me but I realize I need to learn as much as I can about maintenance and issues as well.

I appreciate this forum already, as I have learned quite a lot just browsing!

Welcome to the Forums.

The F Pace Tech Section will have advice etc.

ANY used car, trand matters not, is only as good as the precious caretaker. That has been the deal breaker for me since "forever".

Good luck.

Hello,
Grant is right! The biggest issue will be what care the Previous Owner took of the car. That means, if they took good care of it there should be a folder of paperwork stating what was done and when.

If that's missing, then you're basically flying blind and what you get is a crap shoot, as it Could be a Diamond in the Rough, or a never-ending money pit - leaning heavily toward Money Pit. And, if that's missing, in your position I would walk away. Members of our F-Pace section will be able to tell you more.

I wish you well.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! i hope all who celebrate have had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I hear all of you on the previous records. The car was fortunately bought from a reputable dealer in our area and serviced there for the most part. It did have an issue where it had some significant repair work that kinda worries me. I have read enough on here to know it seems like a common problem so I am hopeful it means a common issue has already been handled but concerned as well of course. Hard decision but it drives like a fun little car!
