Hello all from S.E. Mich
First off I'd like to thank the members and moderators of this site for the out standing info that can be found here! I'm amazed at the depth and scope of the information here...been digging around here day and night for three days now to prep for a possible purchase later in the week. All I can say is I'm thankful to have found this place!!!
I basically stumbled onto this car, and had zero knowledge about them, but quickly learned on line that these cars require a dicerning eye...hopefully I can develop enough of a one to not get myself in trouble...cuz man these are SOMETHING to look at!! I keep having to remind myself - No rose colored glasses allowed here.
Again, Thanks to all.
Again, Thanks to all.
Welcome to the forum First Jag XJR,
Careful research is the way to go when searching for any Jaguar.
It sounds like you already know your way around here but if not, follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-x308-xj8-xjr-27/ to the X308 section for help, advice and information. If you're new to this model, the 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
You may also like to visit the US Med West Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/mid-west-us-il-ia-mi-mn-mo-oh-wi-39/ to find other members in your region.
Hope the XJR checks out OK.
Enjoy the forum.
Graham

Greetings and welcome to the forum, especially from your friends in the Midwest Region. Enjoy the car; and you're right. Keep the rose colored glasses firmly off, and you'll actually enjoy the car all the more.

Thanks to all for the warm welcoming. Trust me, I'll post if I get ahold it.. probably will not be till late this week or early next week.
Hey Safi - sounds like we're not far from each other. People just refer to the area out here as "The Irish Hills" or "The Irish Hill Area" is just west of Ann Arbor... Michigan International Speedway, Brooklyn, Manchester, Tipton, etc... tons of lakes and hills.
not really a specific town or any thing
