This is my first thread here, and wanted to say hello, and introduce myself.
My name is Paul, and I'm a Police officer, and part time jeweler.
I flew to Virginia Saturday, and purchased my new (to me) XJ8. I've had Land Rovers, BMW's, and a Volvo before, and know that the electronics are a handfull.
This one has about 70k on it, and in really decent shape, but this is how I found the forum. The trac failure, and another failure warnings flash as well as the check engine, and ABS lights are on. The car drives fine except it has a performance failure when you gun the motor.
I have read a "how to" repair thread on cleaning the sensors, and will attempt it tomorrow.
This Jag better play nice, or I'm going to go bald!
If you guys have any other good advice feel free to share!
