XK8 Top Fixer in N. Atl/Athens Ga Area??
I'm a new member and New Jag owner. Just acquired my 99' XK8 that fortunately is running flawlessly (at the moment). I purchased the car from a BMW dealership and they claim the top was working when it came in on trade, but after lowering/raising once it then became locked in up position. I purchased this way at a very reduced price because of the excellent service records. So, I am looking for a auto shop or body shop that might have some experience with these top systems.
I have scanned the forums on the possible solutions and have had no success in resolving the "top not Latched" problem. I live in Athens which is north of Lawrenceville. Trying to avoid taking to dealership as they are not close and also fear the possible $$$.
Any recommendations for shops with past success with these top issues??

Not sure of shops in the area but here is the link to Gus's web site that has some excellent guidance and troubleshooting steps for the convertible top hydraulic systems:
JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource
From the sounds of it, there was no green shower, but one of the other hoses may be leaking, could be low on fluid, etc.

Hydraulic Hose Repalcement Service
Hello Jaguar Owner,
I own a Jaguar Hydraulic Hose Replacement Service and would be happy to install your hydraulic hoses that caused the Jaguar Green Shower problem.
I operate out of the Atlanta area but have traveled as far as NY and Los Angeles to install Jaguar Part #HJB8256AB. The pricing is very reasonable.
You can visit the website for my number and reviews.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Marvin, will keep your info. Turns out my lines had been replaced with Top Hydraulics lines, but Latch was the problem. Replaced with rebuilt by Top and works great now. I'll sure keep you in mind for future.
