hi all, I'm aaron, I'm 18 and live I in Melbourne, Australia. I left school at age 15 to make something of my self, been working for 3 years and am working as a Draftsmen in a sheet metal engineering place.

I'm building a project car and I wanted something to drive while my other car is off the road so I bought my first jaguar a few months ago.

It's a 1984 Soverign, injected 4.2L
I got a few plans for it in the future what I'm sure i'll be asking a few questions here and there.

I've done a few minor things such as upgrading the air filter, in car dvd player and a sound system.

Oh yeah, if you're wondering about the "P" plate, if you're aged between 18-21 here you need to have it on your car part of a Probationary licance (restricted to what you can drive) pretty stupid but oh well.

Earning a good wadge and next year I'll have the qualifications to go to university/collage (what ever you call it over there) to start a degree in engineering.



Aside from that, I have a question.
Does the 84' model use an FMX tranmission?

I'm looking at upgrading the motor need to get the right bell housing.

 

Do you know where I could get a bell housing to suit a Chevvy or a Cleveland to suit?

 

It sells on average for about $1.42 a liter for standard unldeaded.

I only ever use high octane petrol what is the grade above premium, it sellfs for around $1.52 a liter.

$1.52 a liter = $5.70 a gallon.
