Default Hello from Brazil

I just want to introduce myself, I have purchased, although not taken delivery yet, which will happen next Friday of a F-Type S Coupe 2015.

I am very excited and I have been lurking on the forum for a couple of months to help me to make an informed decision. After close to 4 years with my lightly modified Audi TTS 2011, tomorrow I am moving into another direction.

During the course of these couple of months I have been looking at the F-Type and I have no experience with the brand. I test drove the F-Type, a Porsche Cayman S and an used Porsche 911 Turbo.

Although beauty wise nothing compares to the F-Type, the Cayman is a great piece of kit, super nimble and it seems easier to drive than the Jag, the 911 was a dream of an engine, but it was a MY10 and when I took a friend that knows a lot about cars and he told me that the car front crashed and that was the end of the story with the 911.

the difference in price between a super well optioned F-Type and a Cayman GTS with PDK and Chrono is about 30K in favor of the F-Type S, the 911 Turbo MY10 was about 25K more expensive than the Jag, and the F-Type R was about 50K more expensive than the S.

After looking at the stats and between the options included in the two models and the price difference and this being my weekend car, I made the decision and yesterday I wrote the check to a Jag dealer for the S.

I am 45 y.o., married with two beautiful twin daughters, have been working in the high tech industry for 22 years, and I am 6 times a year in the US.

I hope I can make good friends in this forum and I have already read the entire car's manual and the technical documents that I found in this forum.

Thanks for letting me be part of this board.

Best regards,

Jay

Welcome to the forum Jay,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

That was three great cars to consider as the replacement for your Audi.

I can see you have already found your way to the F-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
