I always liked the S Type since it came on the market and Sep '13 I found a 'low mileage - retired owner' from end of '07 with the 2.7D engine (a must!) with only 72 tkms.

So far everything went fine, not considering the full brake system (all disks, pads, brake booster) had to be changed after 300kms only under dealer warranty and both front shocks due to rattling noises (dealer supplied parts F.O.C). I also noticed a serious amount of rust on the car's underside and had it removed in a friend's workshop and oversprayed with some thick coating.

Finally I came across this fine forum when looking for reasons (and solutions) for my epb failure - and I found some (and plenty) of useful suggestions!

Having driven it 15 tkms so far, I really enjoy its cruising capabilities and the power it can provide when kicked into sports mode. My only concern is that its maintenance will be as costly as my Alfa 147 MJet - seeing how many threads s.one can find browsing the web!
On the other hand - that might become another classic car among so many competitors with their nearly undistinguishable looks!
