Hello Everyone
I just picked up a 2004 X-type a couple of weeks ago. I've been reading on the sight for a while and decided to introduce myself.
I've been a Jaguar fan for quite some time now. I'm more of a fan of the XK and XJs, and of course E-types, but the X fits my needs the best right now with good mileage, AWD, and a manual trans. Mine is a pretty low spec car, 2.5L in British Racing Green, and the only option I beleive is the single CD player.
Just for grins I thought I'd upload a couple of pictures of a local guys project from a couple of years ago. I think some of you might get a kick out of it...

Welcome Andy. Beg, borrow, steal, marry into the family, or get your son or daughter to do so. Whatever, you have to do to get your hands on that car.
Enjoy your X at the same time.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
The project car is suppose to be very faithful to the original XJ13, possibly even built using the original body jigs. I don't know a whole lot about it, I never talked with the owner directly. I heard about it from a friend of a friend, who was the one that put the engine together for it.
As for the X, I have been busy tuning things up. It's got 110,000 miles on it, and has only had basic oil and filter changes, no work outside of that I was told. I have been busy changing fluids, the spark plugs, and air filters so far. It runs great, and the only problem I have found so far, mechanically, is a leak from the differential pinion seal.
