Welcome to the forums Carl,

You Scimitar will have the 3.0 litre Ford V6 fitted? The Jaguar AJV8 is a great engine - I've had an XK8 and an XK with the 4.2. Although not as powerful, it is a more robust unit than the later 5.0 litre. It will certainly give the Scimitar some punch.

Good luck with your project and enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thank you all for the warm welcome .
I decided on the v8 but not going through a'lot of other engine options first was rotary this messed with weight distribution to much then the AJ-v6 but couldn't meet my power goals so looked into the 1uzfe but the are getting very expensive and are all high miles. All the american V8's are really heavy then i remembered the supercharged AJ-V8 so here i am.

If it physically fits then integrating engine management is likely to be your biggest challenge. This evolved in complexity with many subtle changes as the engine was developed. Knowing the VIN of the donor vehicle will help you ask the right questions.

Hi engine management is not to bad i'm remaking the whole car loom anyway and plan to run the engine on a stand alone aftermarket ECU so no real integration the car will also be manual so that will help. Its the physical dimensions of the engine i'm struggling to find my bigger area of concern is the sump width at the minute.
