Hello, New Member
Hello,
I'm a new member to the forum. I am a longtime car enthusiast. I previous owned a 2007 XKR and I'm a big Jaguar fan. I joined the forum to learn more about the previous generation XKR; as I am in market to purchase a 2005 or 2006 coupe.
Thank you,
Dale

Welcome to the forums Dale,
I had a 2000 and 2005 - both great cars. Early nikasil, plastic tensioner and transmission issues were resolved before the final year of the X100 production so you are looking for the best years. Plastic cooling system components were still a weakness and all years are heavy on front suspension bushes. Plastic trim components are becoming difficult to impossible to find.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the X100 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.
