Default Hello - New member introduction

Hello all

Just like to introduce myself. Steve is the name or Smitty to my pals, either is cool by me. I have a great love of Jags, they are just the best even though the build quality is not always great. I have owned my mark 1 1999 XKR for the past 8 years and I would not sell it for 50 grand. I have a brilliant independent Jag mechanic who has looked after my babe since I got her. He is a total enthusiast and it is a complete labour of love for him.

If anyone is considering buying an early XK8/R I would say go for it but get it checked out by a Jag specialist first, it is worth paying someone in the know to avoid a nasty surprise. These early models pre 2000 in good condition are becoming so very collectible now and their value is only going to go up. If anyone wants my feedback then I am happy to give all of the pitfalls that I have come across.

Basically I love all Jags, so anyone who fancies a chat about stuff, please feel free to mail me.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
