Default Hello from North Carolina

This is the second S-Type we've owned. My wife loves driving it more than the comparable German and Japanese models. We bought it from the original owner, but it does have 96,000 miles on it now. Looking at it, and driving it, you'd think it had 15,000.

The only real problem I've had, and still have, is with the keyless remote.

I've logged a post asking for help....so any and all thoughts will be appreciated.

Welcome to the the forum Keith,

A one owner example is the best to go for. It sounds like you've got a good one.

I see you've already found your way to the tech section with the remote issue. I hope you find a suitable source for a repair.

The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of the S-Type tech section is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You may also like to visit the US Lower Atlantic Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/lower-atlantic-nc-sc-fl-ga-66/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Jim...thanks for the upgrade.

I see in your sig that you also own a VW 1.9 TDI. Right now, I've also got one of those in the garage, but in New Beetle form...an '06 model, leather, s/r, auto. Trying to decide whether to sell it, or an 04 VW Golf GLS, gas model that averages just shy of 30 mpg.

What sort of fuel economy should I expect with 60% highway and 40% city driving? But I do have a heavy foot, esp on the highway.

I own 4 autos right now, plus the VW TDI. None are too special, but will need to thin the herd.

Thanks for your thoughts.

-Keith
