Default Hello! From Ontario, Canada.

Hey folks! Proud new owner of a 2014 F-Type convertible. Had her for a couple weeks now and am loving it!

Question. Is there such a thing as the Jag Wave? Coming from the world of Porsche, Porsche car drivers would almost universally wave at each other - but today when I happened upon another Jag - tried the wave and got nothing in return. Just wondering if that's something that isn't done?

Thanks guys. Look forward to learning more about Jags and getting involved in the community. Cheers!

Welcome to the forum Ron,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Waving at other drivers with the same marque has long gone in England. It will be interesting to hear what other members around the World have to say on the subject.

Welcome aboard Ron, I have found it to be same as Graham with modern cars, however, I always get waves in the old series 2.

Hello, Ron,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!

No one in California waves at anyone, even if they know each other unless it's unavoidable. It took a while for me to get used to this, because where I grew up in Montana, everyone waved at everyone they knew no matter what they were driving. Some there still wave, even at people they don't know. Of course that's not hard given the sparse population because they probably know everyone they're likely to meet on the road. Sometimes I have had people flash their headlights to me when I'm driving Nix but even that's rare.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

The few Jag owners here in sleepy Perth always wave!

Welcome.

Yep, same in downtown Adelaide, mostly.

In the S Types, NAH, but for 1 or 2

The Series cars, better.

The XJS, lots more.

The MK10, usually in jest that its actually moving under its own power, Wombats they be.

I usually wave, or flash the beams, depending. Flashing the beams here is deemed illegal, oops.
