Hello from a prospective X250 owner
My name is Brad Smith and am trying to learn all I can about the X250's and their maintenance and problems.
I am not wealthy and have somewhat limited funds I augment with restoring the occasional car or motorcycle - but I don't make a lot at that on a $ per hour basis.
The X150 I intend to die in...
Thanks for having me - you must be brave...

Welcome to the forums Brad,
Good to have you with us.
If you can do your own servicing, Jaguar ownership cost is greatly reduced. If you are prepared to learn about repairs (and all the necessary information is available on these forums), further huge savings can be made. The secret is making a wise choice of used Jaguar to purchase. They generally all shine but you need to be able to smell the lemon.
I check the owner first, then the vehicle history before inspecting the vehicle. A good PO who has taken care of scheduled servicing and done any necessary repairs as they arise makes a big difference to possible future issues and expenditure.
You have X250 in your thread title but mention X150 in the post. Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xf-xfr-x250-44/ to the X250 forum and this one https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/ to the X150 forum as appropriate for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums and good luck in the search for your Jaguar.
Graham

Thanks for the welcome.
My fat fingers caused the 2's and I didn't catch 'em - and it appears there is no way to edit them to 1's...
I'll try to be more careful...
