Hello from Rainy City Manchester, UK
Hi Guys
Just joined the forum to gain some knowledge about the XK8 & XKR's.
I'm seriously thinking in buying one or the other in the near future.
I have always admired and lusted after the old 'E' Types since I was little and now I'm an old git. I fancy having a mid life crisis and living the dream.
The E Types are well out of my league, but the next best thing in my opinion is the earlier XK8 or R. I have had one eye on the prices and a few weeks ago a very genorous friend lent me one of his 3 sporty Jags for our wedding anniversary weekend. His 98 silver XK8 soft top.
Needless to say I couldn't keep the smile off my face from the moment he dropped the keys into my hand to the time I had to give them back to him in clenched hand, on the Monday.
I have to say if I had any doubt wether or not I would enjoy driving and owning an XK, I certianly didn't have any after that weekend. "O" and best of all the wife loved it as well. The car I mean
Anyway I'm set on my quest now, so need plenty of education, I'm hoping this is the place to gain the knowledge.
Cheers Gary

Welcome to the Forum Gaaz, you have certainly found the right place to find out about these cars. Some great and very knowledgeable members over in the XK sections.
Ask any questions you may have. Good luck with the search.
Nah, it dun't rain in Manchester, it buckets down. Originally from Rochdale
