Default Hello from Seattle

Hello,

I'm glad to have joined this forum, as I have found it very useful in the past. I own a 01 XKR convert with 14k miles and this is some of the mods that it has, Arden wheels, Milltek exhaust, remap, pulleys, carbon fiber dash and steering wheel. It is silver with oatmeal interior. It is not a daily driver, but more of a fun toy when weather permits. I look foward to reading and learning more information from this site.

Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim from Seattle, sounds like the car has hardly been used. What gives?

You will find tons of info' over in the XK sections, and some great folk to boot. (might be a UK expression, friendly 'as well')

Richard,

I bought the car about 2 years ago from the original owner who purchased it in southern California, he drove it to go golfing and that was about it. I have an automotive restoration business that specializes in preparing cars for showing, doing quite a few cars for the Pebble Beach Concours, etc. I got carried away as I started cleaning the car and was talked into showing it and entering it in some concours shows, it actually has done pretty well. I should probably drive it more than I do. I found an Arden dealer who was trying to close out all his inventory at a sustantial discount and bought all of the parts he had for my car execept the body kit. I am constantly looking into other mods and ideas for my car. It is a never ending project.

Jim

Hey Jim - Welcome to the forum. I live in Bellevue and drive my XK8 to Everett every day (until it starts raining). Where's your shop located? Sounds like a cool business to be in. Question - did you get your Milltek exhaust locally?

This is a great forum. It's especially nice to have guys like you with professional automotive expetise willing to share with us wannabe's.

All the best -

I'm located in south Seattle, near Boeing field. I purchased the Milltek exhaust from Paramount Performance in England, it is the non resonated version.
