Default Hello from SW Ohio

Hello everyone! st joined due to the fact that the wife and I are trying to decide between an '05 X-type or an S-Type of the same year. The X-type has 65K miles, the S-type 59K. Both around around $5K and both have the 3.0L. Any suggestions and thoughts would be appreciated!

Welcome.

I will leave this for your market members to advise.

If it were mine, the S wins hands down.

Welcome to the forum Brian,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

If you don't have an absolute preference for one of the two models and price/condition is similar, always buy a used Jaguar on service history. Nothing like a folder of bills for work completed to put the mind at rest.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum and this one https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

You can also visit the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Hello, Brian,
I've never driven either model, but from their external appearance I'd choose the X-type.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thanks for the info everyone! Admittedly, I must say that this will be our first Jag, hence why I hadn't listed any cars. Not much that a person can say about a 2002 Buick Rendezvous and a 2014 Honda Civic. But the Jag will be a replacement for the Buick, so it's a start.
