Hello from Whitby, the one in North Yorkshire
Hi,
My name is Ade, I own a 2003 X type 2.1L petrol. A lovely car which has had more than its fair share of problems in the 2 years I have had it, I have learned to look for spare parts on the Ford Mondeo sites, but to be honest when it runs ok it's a lovely car and worth some of the hassle.
After 22 years wearing one of lizzies uniforms, I "retired," well i get a pension! because i am married with 2 female wallet drains, I have to fix computers for a living at an educational establishment here in town, its amazing the amount of stuff the darwin award candidates stuff into a live box, the best was a lad who stuck 2 screwdrivers into the mains and wondered why he was shouted at after the obligatory bang! good times.
I am into bikes , as well as computers (good job too) and i love getting my hands dirty working on oily things ... well enough of my fetishes, luckily I can do most of the things that regularly need fixing.
Two questions, if the X Type is made mainly with Ford parts, is there a complete component list with serial numbers available? and is there any workshop media on CD available?
Regards
Ade

Welcome to the forum Ade!
Component list - look for Jaguar EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue) I'm not aware of a Ford X reference tho'
W/s manual - look for JTIS
They are both CD based, or you can subscribe to this website - http://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topix/i18n/index
