Hello from Wisconsin!

Hello! We are the Oldone78 from Wisconsin. We have recently acquired a longtime dream of ours and would like to get some help if at all possible. We now have a Jaguar XJ6L, 1978 Series II, and are excited to start getting a few things repaired on her. We will be posting pictures at a later date. I have a question we hope some of you might know about. The canister above the right wheel appears to be a carbon ( Charcoal) filter. It also has a hose attached to it. Our car has fuel dripping from this canister/hose. Would anyone know why this is, and what do we do to correct this? Any and all help/imput would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and will wait to hear from some of you soon.
Welcome to the forum 'oldone' for a tech question you will be better off posting into the XJ6 section. There are some great members that hang out there who will be able to help you.
Sounds like it might be part of the vapour recovery system, but I doubt that it should leak.

Congrats on your acquisition and a hearty Wisconsin welcome to the forum. The series II folks will be very helpful in figuring out your drip.
My '91 also has a canister, and all that I can say is that it is supposed to deal with vapors, not liquids. Hmmm...
See you on the road!
