Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll find help in the XJ8 section on this site. Let's see a picture of your car when you get a chance.

Welcome to the forum, as said, post up tech questions in the XJ8 section for your car.

Hey there, welcome to the forum
+1 on the good advice already given..............
There's usually plenty going on in most sections, most of the time.

You might find the off topic good for fun, maybe check out the mug shot thread and add yours?
Don't forget the regional section and also the detailing section is a must.

Some good guys and great techs, top vendors and more to come....all good

In the meantime I've upgraded you manually to full forum access so you can better veiw the site

Unhappy

Hello

Approximately five weeks ago the Gearbox fault appreared in the Message Centre. After turning the car off for a short period of time the fault message disappeared. About six hours later it appeared again it was late on friday. The Dealer service department is not open on weekends. After sitting over night it did not appear again until two weeks later. I drove from Birmingham Alabama to Atlanta Ga., on yesterday and returned today. I got back to Birmingham before the fault message appeared again. I turned the ar off to get some gas and after starting it up the fault message went away. Drove home approximate ten miles the fault message reappeared along with the check engine light. After turning off the car and restarting the fault message did not appear but the check engine light remained. When the fault appears it drives in one gear and will not shift.

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Your question would receive a response when asked in the XJ section. Be sure to add your make and model in your post.
