Hey!
Hello all!
My name is Andrew Beres, im 15 years old and I'm starting to look for a nice car (man I cant wait till I get my permit!). I pretty much decided on a XJ series, from 1995 on. Im pretty much sure I will buy my first car myself, and dont mind fixing the car up just as long as its not a nightmare. What would a good price be for a xj (95-97) in fair condition?
Thanks!, Andrew

RE: Hey!
Hi Andrew.
Nothing wrong with your choice of Jags. The 1995-96-97 XJ6s are really good cars. Spend a few days on Ebay, AutoTrader, etc and you'll get a feel for the going prices. I think you can get a clunky one for $3-4000. For a really primo one, maybe $8000 ?
( <shrug> I'm sorta guessing on thepriceshere)
Buying a "fair condition" Jag is a risky proposition, though.
Cheers

RE: Hey!
Sounds good.
I wouldnt mind having to spend a weekend or two cleaning it up and washing it. Im not the one to ask about mechanical stuff though:-O My only real requirements are that the air conditioning works, it has keyless entry/alarm which isnt messed up and goes off for no reason. What are some key areas to look at? My neighbor has one and I have driven it a few times round my town and I LOVE how it drives!
