Default Hi!

Just bought a 35,000 mile 2004 Jag XJ8......I'm 52, in about 1976 Dad got a '71 XKE, garnet red, convertible,,,Mom made him sell it before I got my license in Sept of '77, as "he'll kill himself with that" he sold it for 3,500.00......do I WISH I had it now.....
I any event,,,,,a couple of questions.....this appears to be a base XJ, no front parking sensors, although there is a telephone icon on the radio and steering wheel,,there is no bluetooth.....I called the Tampa Jag Dealer, 3,000.00 to install bluetooth.!! it's cd only, no cassette.....so can anyone recommend an iPhone/Ipod solution?
FYI, I have been fortunate in my life to have owned: Facel Vega Facel III, Citroen's: SM, CXGti, CXD, 2CV, Renault R5 Alpine, Buick Regal Turbo (my first car, 1978) Smart ForTwo.....) and there's a whole bunch others!

I also should have said, I was driving the car back from the dealer in Miami....."RESTRICTED PERFORMANCE" came on, stopped at AutZone, code was left and right bank 02 sensor? it only acts up no and again......then one more hour into the trip, "Air Suspension Fault"
that came on once ever week for two weeks and I have not seen it again. Perhaps the car was on the dealers lot for a long time??? Also can't seem to program the garage door remotes, and the key fob, though having a new battery works 50% of the time,,,,,

Welcome to the forum Dan,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar Forums.

Later Jaguars are very sensitive to battery condition. If, as you suspect, the vehicle was standing on the lot for some time, this will likely explain many of the initial odd electrical gremlins and DTC's as a result of low charge.

Follow this link XJ ( X350 & X358 ) XJ6 / XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X350 forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/l...c-sc-fl-ga-66/

Enjoy the forums.
