Default Hi from Edinburgh, Scotland, UK

I have treated myself to a 1999 XKR. Handy as I am with basic engines, I'm looking forward to building my knowledgebase on the Jag, to avoid those hefty official dealer labour rates!

Regards
Kevin

Welcome to the forum Kevin,

It is still just a car, take your time and understand what you are doing and you will be fine.

Welcome to the Forum. I hope you have a wonderful experience with your new Jag, as I have had these past four years.Take the time to share your Jag experiences, good or bad, with us as they occur. Just remember that this Forum has a built-in bias: Owners with problems write often and in great detail asking for help; those without problems usually don't. It can lead you to believe all Jags are junk. Not so! But whetever else you do, do not ignore basic perodic maintenance. That can cost you big time later.

I have happy memories of several visits to your great city of Edinburgh. Wish I could return but for practical reasons it probably won't be soon. Meanwhile, look after the place for me, will you?

Hello Kevin and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
