The X-type is a pretty good car, there are lots around here in England, but started off badly in sales terms because there was not diesel for Europe, it was the V6 2.5 or 3 litre or nothing. If no diesel is available here in Europe, then it is generally the kiss-of-death for sales due to fuel costs and the company car taxation system that bases the tax on the CO2 emissions - diesels are a lot lower. Car is no longer made by Jaguar, but I believe there will be a replacement by the new owners since Ford sold-out, as this is the big market - BMW 3 series, Merc C class, Audi A4 etc all sell in hundreds of thousands.

Welcome aboard, you'll find everyone here knowledgable and friendly. Go over to the X Type forum as well. Tons of useful information about our cars as well as every mod you might think of.

First thing I did was tint the back windows (all 7) on mine too.
