Hi Everybody
Ok, obviously new to the forum and apologies about the name. I have a few old BMWs and have that name on their forum and I am to much of a old neanderthal to remember lots of different names:-)
I have had a 64 3.8 E Type for about 6 years, Gunmetal with Red, always was a dream of mine when I lived in the UK, where I am from originally, yet found it over here in Seattle Washington within 9 months of moving here. While in the UK, I had a few XJ6s, an early XJS and a Daimler V12 coupe (I loved the coupe)
I am lucky enough to have recently purchased an XJ 220 S, a street XJ 220 was always on the bucket list, but an S was a dream I just could not pass up.
I stumbled across this forum today and am really pleased I did, its a great forum guys. I hope to be able to participate in some way.
Peter

Hello and welcome Peter,
May I suggest a raffle for the XJ 220 to make amends for the name?
Great pair of Jaguars you have now and an impressive tally of previous ones.
Should have kept that Daimler Double Six Coupe.

Thank you for the kind welcomes and understanding of the name:-)
Let me think about that raffle:-)
I am away this weekend and as explained a "neanderthal" on the web, I will get some pictures on or try to, early next week.

Ok Everybody,
I had some pictures of the E Type (which is a serious love of mine) on my Laptop and I found some of the XJ220 (much more lust with this one) not taken by me on the WWW (somebody tell me if I am allowed to use these, I will remove if its an issue) I will take some of my own soon, when I have finished smiling and drolling over it..... let see how this works

Thanks
I didn't even notice that there.
It was (its gone now) a 1968 427 corvette British Racing green with black.......it was car I had always liked and few of the family (american side) kept asking when I was going to get a muscle car, this one came up for sale. fully restored etc, etc. So car nut here, thought he would give it a try, sadly it was a bad car, nobody could get it to do everything it was supposed to do.
The big lesson I learnt and since everybody now tells me "oh yeah, dont do that" is do not buy the first year of any muscle car, they came so fast and furious that they were always sorting out the bugs in that first model year.
Lesson learned
