Actually, I'm an old new member,, if you get my drift. Had a couple of Police Spec XJ's and now retired with an X Type. Love the car,, just not the problems.

From the East Midlands UK with X Type, 2.0 Diesel SE.. Will post a picture when I clean it,lol

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Hi everyone and thanks for the help and welcome,,, Just as a quick update,, I found the problem. It was the high pressure rail to injector pipe on no. 2 cylinder. It would spray everywhere when under heavy load and above 2500 rpm. Because of the spray and the mess it made it was impossible to tie it down to a location without very careful inspection!! Have ordered some new pipes and hopefully that will fix it. Thanx again
