Hi, new member
Hi,
Have registered today. I have a 2004 X type and am fed up of being ripped off by the dealer. So hope to share experiences and knowledge on the forum!
My knowledge is mainly with older cars at present, but hope to bring myself up to date!

Hey Graham, welcome aboard, good to have you here as part of the forum
share some pics of your X type please!! Great ride and I had an 02 myself a few years ago. There is some excellent info on DIY repairs and cheap fixes to common issues in the X type section. Do yourself a favour and really read through the X type quick FAQ link thread if you haven't done so already......
Loads going on, plenty of very friendly and helpful members as well as some excellent tech advice......all good!
In the meantime I've manually upgraded you to full forum access so you can better view the site
Welcome Graham. We have dealer trained/employed Techs on the site who are very helpful, giving of their time and advice. We've all had dealerships that we've had good and bad service experiences with. It's usually not the technician but the $ cost that causes the most aggravation so,...be kind to our Techs, please.
Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.
Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Thanks for the nice welcome. There is certainly money to save! Although I have given up trying to remove the O2 sensor as I just cant get proper access, now that I understand exactly what is involved, I have learned that the Jag dealer was for sure ripping me off. They wanted £300-£400 plus parts for the job . Now that I have learned what its all about, I am buying the part myself and the local garage said they can do it for £40. Good result, so thanks
