Default Hi From New Member in Colorado Springs, CO

Hi to the Jaguar Forum veterans, novices, and newbies (and any combination thereof) from beautiful Colorado Springs -- a place I know all who do not live here are envious of those who do!

I'm joining because I have bought an 85 XJ-S and am trying to get it on the road. It's one of those 'cars I've always wanted and now I have it' (and you guys please keep your Kevin Spacey/American Beauty comments to yourself!)

I'm hoping to gather as much knowledge as I can about getting my car off the lift at the mechanic's and on the road as expeditiously as possible. I'll go to the appropriate forum for that and give you a brief bio:

Former US Marine Intel guy, car enthusiast (duh), major Top Gear fan, autodidact. I currently work at US Figure Skating as the software developer/architect on staff.

I'm looking forward to your help, knowledge, camaradarie.

Hey, welcome! And thank you for your service!

Yes, beautiful area C Springs is. I frequented the area for a while, a regular customer at Black Forest Soaring Society. Do you know where Conifer and Bailey are??

Best,

Haha, unfortunately I'm starting to feel as if it's exactly one of those projects.

I haven't been to either unless passing through on to other places (but that hasn't been recent). As powered flight was a hobby of mine until a few years ago, I do scratch my head at you soaring types!
