Hi from new member in Durham ON Canada.
Hi Everyone,
Last year we decided that a convertible would be good to have in retirement. The Jaguars were among the possibilities and we fell for a red 2007 XK.
Although I am more knowledgeable than many when it comes to cars, or perhaps because, I am still somewhat cautious / nervous when buying an eight year old complicated car.
I was tempted to look for an XKR, but for our roads and general use the base XK has been just fine, no regrets at all. (My other summer toy is an 84 Suzuki 1150EF, more performance than this old man will ever fully use)
The first oil drips just started from the front left, looks like ATF / PS fluid, so just purchased a manual from JagDocs and took a first look underneath, and hope to find tips from others who may have been there before.
Does not look like the easiest thing to work on, but then neither was my only other Jag, a 1974 XJ12, also owned when it was 7 or 8 yrs old. I even left a Jaguar gathering with it bleeding PS fluid from a blown hose!
Regards to all
