Hello forum,
My name's Chris, I'm a first time Jaguar owner. Just purchased a 2001 XK8 with a 109,000 miles on it. Love the ride so far. Beautiful car, a little nervous about the upkeep, though. I Just replaced a ball joint and the battery and now I need to replace the negative cable. It was and still sometimes does throw ASC/Trac not available and goes into failsafe mode. Hoping changing the cable will fix it for good. I'm sure i'll post something if it doesn't.
Anyway, love the forum, It's already helped me out.

One might expect a few problems with any car traveling 109,000 miles. You'll get on top of it though, and your car will appreciate the attention.
