Post Hi - New owner of Old X-Type Jag

Hi
My husband bought me a 2005 X-Type Estate mainly for its gob smacking safety record.
I live in VERY rural South West France, and my school run is around 1000km a week!
I LOVE my jag! She is very classy, in an "old school" sort of way. She is so economical, and I feel tremendously safe on my long and winding journeys but, as with all older cars, she is having a few issues and I have joined here to try and gather some much needed information and help.
So if anyone can help me with my first post on the forum I would be seriously grateful!
Thanks

Welcome to the forum lostinfrance,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
