Default How good is the Jaguar XF

I recently looked at a Jaguar XF. I really liked the car but my main concern with the car is how long it will truly run before there are problems with the car such as major repairs or even just steady breakdowns with the car. Now I know that all cars need tune ups and small repairs at times but for instance my mom's mercedes has over 200,000 miles on it and the car runs great still. She has had it for 5 years and it just now recently had to invest a larger sum of money into it for a repair. She has only had to stay up on tune ups on the car and it has ran perfectly otherwise. Now on the other hand I have had several church members who own BMW's that love them but they have learned that they will need to invest quite a large sum of money into the car. They told me once, "it seems like we are always invested money into the car to keep it running." The same I have heard for Jaguars. I literally had a woman trying to sell her car for next to nothing and through travelling through Atlanta a lot many people have told me more than once not to buy a Jaguar because they are junk. Now that may insult some Jaguar fans out there but I am only repeating what I have heard. I like the XF model because it was a drastic change compared to older Jaguar models so my question is if the Jaguar XF is kept up on tune ups how many years/miles would I have to go before the car began to break down, need steady amounts of repairs, or begin costing lots of money on major repairs?

Hi Fishblade
May I suggest visiting our XF section? You'll be able to read posts on whatever problems owners have been having as well as the things they're happy with.

Welcome to the forum,

Good to have you with us.
As Jamey suggests the XF section is the best place to get your answers.

If you haven't already done so you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
