Default Howdy from San Diego

So, on a whim (and because I always need a project that runs on gasoline) I bought an 89 XJS with the 350 conversion already done. It was a mess and not running so I got it for $900. After a new ECU and alternator it is running, albeit roughly. Working on cleaning the interior, got the stock radio unlocked and slowly projecting on it. All the electrical bits work, heated seats etc, but the a/c was never finished. Still needs paint and the motor to run properly, but I'm making progress and it makes me happy. I figure I'll keep it for a while then maybe flip it. Don't know yet. So that's the car.

I'm a Marine officer at camp Pendleton with a thing for cars. The weirder the better, but I went with the jag because my wife thought the Maserati Biturbo looked like a Nissan. Maybe her being a Brit had something to do with it.....

Welcome to this friendly Forum, thanks for the interesting intro.
The 'XJS' part of your car's technical section is
XJS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
but you'll want to look for engine stuff in the X350 section.
There's a Regional one too
Western US - AK CA NV OR UT HI WA ID - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
Enjoy your membership here.

Welcome to the forum Mustang04,

Is that a 5.7 litre 350 Chevy conversion? Sounds like all the hard work has been done so good luck with getting the engine running sweetly and the paint sorted.

Enjoy the forum.
