Default Howdy from Texas

HI. My name is Anna, I live in North Texas and my father HAD TO HAVE this p.o.s Jag. LOL. It's a 1994 Jaguar XJ6 and a pain in my butt. This site seems to have alot of good info on these cars though so I figured I would go ahead and join.

Well, this thing has the right amount of cylinders in a straight line, but it takes the wrong kind of fuel.
I'm a diesel dork, the only gas engine stuff I voluntarily work on is family members cars.

Welcome Anna,

Just look on it as a learning experience and another chance to bond with your dad.

Hope we can help you out with some advice.

I tried the bonding with him thing on an s-10 with a 383 stroker in it. He and I butt heads way to much.
As far as learning goes it seems like the more I have to work on this particular car all I learn is that engineers in England seem to been in an altered mental state when designing this car. Or they sat around their think tanks and tried to find the most difficult way to manufacture the vehicle.
While replacing the fuel filter today, which was a PITA to locate, I discovered that the differential seems to be leaking. The fill hole location on that is insane!

One thing I can say about daddy's jag, it makes me appreciate how simple and easy my dodge truck with a cummins is.

Awesome, thank you!
Let me clarify, I'm not implying that any of you own POS jags I'm sure that most of them are wonderful cars. However, my father bought this car site unseen with me telling him that it was rough and needed work. His is a POS.
