Default I am a new member wishing to learn more about the jaguar

Hello, All Jaguar Enthusiasts and Forum Members,

I am honored to be a member.

Most of my past 30 plus years has been living in Europe and China.
I am planning to purchase a Jaguar and wanted to learn more about these great cars. I have owned an MG-TD and an MG-TF, Porche 911s and Nissan 300Z in the past. Also owned a Ford-Nissan dealership in Seattle in the 1980s. I have not driven at all in last 20 years...must get a license in Washington State to buy a car.

Any advice from Forum members about which model Jaguar would be ideal for old bachelor with no young grandchildren. I will do minimal driving. Thank you.....I look forward to enjoying membership in this august club. I shall post again when I purchase my Jaguar.

Peter Magurean III Sammamish, Washington, USA

Welcome Peter.

Judging by your car ownership experience you sound like an XK driver. If, like me, you are a bit long of tooth for the hard core experience of an XK then consider the XJ.

Hi Peter, welcome aboard the forums....good to have you here with us.

From your profile you definitely sound like you'd suit the XJ range and be able to waft along with effortless ease in classic lines AND have the power there should you dcide to use it
Whatever you decide Peter....good luck

You might find the off topic good for fun, maybe check out the mug shot thread and add yours?

Some really good guys and great techs, top vendors offering good pricing levels and great service, and more to come....all good

Velcome to the forum Peter,

I'm going to vote for an XK if it just for an occasional drive for fun.

Peter, welcome to the forum. I'm a tad partial to the XK and with no grandchildren, the back seats would be ideal (two+Two). Can't wait to find out which Jaguar you purchased. You'll find this a very friendly site so enjoy your time here. Best of luck with your search.

Welcome Peter to the forum and I tend to agree with some other posters that the XK is the car for you.
