Default i know i'm not *really* new

it's been a while since i was on here, i had some computer trouble, so i didn't really have access to the web.

long story short, my '90 xjs is still running (with only a couple more issues) and i've been trying to diligently look up information on her so as to learn how to fix some of the small stuff myself.

i hope to be posting around here quite a bit more.

cheerio.

checked your post history, it has been awhile. I was expecting a year or more, but only 6 months since you you were a bit more visible. Hope you can keep the internet connection going and stick around a bit more. I see you have a battery issue, hope you can get if fixed. I have zero knowledge in the older XJs electrical systems.

h20, jim, thanks =)

i had a mech look at the electrical system, and it seems that the wiring is correct, just that i drive the car too frequently for a short distance. (yeah, my bad).

the one thing that is odd, is that while my alternator is putting out the correct voltage, it drops out under full load. no idea if that means that i need a new alternator soon, or what.
