I just saw a thread that said new members are supposed to introduce themselves. I'm not exactly new, but I've been gone for... five years? eight years? I don't even remember. HOWEVER, Tomorrow morning I'm getting on a plane to go buy THIS:
I flew to all the way to Fort Lauderdale only to discover that the dealer reset the codes 0.6 miles ago. None of the emissions tests were "ready". I scanned for codes and it came up with a U0100, which has something to do with the ECM.
Now I'm sitting in the Fort Lauderdale airport waiting to fly home.
You're probably right. But there are two Maserati GranTurismos I've been eyeballing, and a flood-damaged Aston Martin. They are significantly more money, but they are also true exotics. I can afford to buy them, I just don't know if I can afford to maintain them. I KNOW I can afford to maintain an X150. But I'm kind of drawn the Maseratis and the Aston Martin.

Hey welcome back! I’m Curious did you scan the car yourself or did you take it somewhere to get scanned ?
PS i’m looking at jaguars to purchase I’m super scared to get something that’s faulty and ready to die

Bear in mind that Any used car comes with these risks, because there's Always a reason (sometimes more than one) that the owner is selling it. It's just that Jaguar has a reputation, not entirely valid, as an unreliable brand. You could get a Ready-To-Die Toyota Camry from *Smilin' Jacks Cream Puff Used Cars* that wouldn't make it around the block.
