Default Im looking for a MK2 Jaguar.

Hi, i know this is a very long shot but im looking for a certain mk2.
First i will tell you a little history about the car. In 1968 my great grandad bought the car brand new, a Mk2 2.4, reg: WPC 122G. Then in 1981 my grandad (Richard Hawke) bought the car from him. For many years my grandad went to many shows and me along with him as a little lad. Then in 2000 he sold the car to a fellow from Dinington/Sheffield. I would love to find this car and possibly take my grandad to go see it. Although my dream would be to purchase it, but if it is still in the condition my grandad sold it in it will be worth a fair bit, or the owner will not want to part. If anyone has seen it at a show or knows the owner it would be greatly appreciated if they could let me know. I recently did a car check and although the car gets free tax it says it hasn’t been registered for a tax disk since 2005. Heres a picture of the car, sorry about the poor quality i had to take a picture of a picture.

Also my email: Hawkeye87@hotmail.com

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Vinny welcome to the forum, interesting search you have. I will guess that you have checked with Jaguar Heritage etc etc.

You might want to also include chassis numbers in your quest, if you have them.

For the real classic Jaguars please make this post over in the Other Jaguar Models section, we have some serious classic enthusiasts in there, also in the UK, who go to shows, contact parts suppliers et al.

Sounds like the car is still in the UK and has not been officially scrapped, best of luck, and keep us informed.
