Cool I'm new here

Hi everyone
I'm Dom and I'm new here.
It's nice to have a forum like this so we can share our interest with like minded people.
I've always loved Jaguars.
I'm not sure why I guess I just like the styling and the name.
It's the cost of maintaining one that has held me back more than anything else.
I own a '97 Taurus SHO and I have been able to fix it myself for the most part when it breaks which saves me a lot money.
I don't own a Jaguar yet but, I've been looking a lot.
My problem is I'm kind of tall, 6'3'' so I haven't found one I can be comfortable in yet.
I think the XJR will probably be the best fit for me.
I drove an S-Type R and liked that but, it just didn't feel exactly right.
But, the sound of that supercharger was intoxicating.
I have my eye on one but, it's in California and I live in Ohio so, I'm a little apprehensive about buying one over the internet.
I am looking forward to making some new friends and exchanging ideas.
Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Welcome to the forum, Don. You will find a wealth of information here...visit off-topic and other forums to boost your post count and review the rules and you'll have full access in no time. There is a thread in the S-Type section about how various guys of different sizes fit in it and I was a bit surprised to find most of the bigger lads claiming they had beaucoup room. I'm a little squirt and feel cramped as all get-out in the girls' S-typers and very comfy in my X300....but I can tell you, you'd gripe about headroom in one of those..think that is better in the 04 and up XJ's, though. Def' more headroom in Stype than in the 95-03 X300/308 line.

Welcome Don to the forum!

We (wifey and I) have purchased 3 vehicles over the net. We are happy with our purchases but there were some quirks albeit minor.

Welcome to the forum Don, don't worry your name, an easy mistake to make.

If you are anywhere near Powell OH, check out one of our 'Techs' JagTechOhio he has a shop there.

welcome to the forum Don, good to have you here.
Nice intro, thanks

The XJ probably will end up being the ride for you.....I'm 6'3" too so I know how you look for both legroom AND headroom....lol

Translator made an excellent call on "Jagtechohio".....he hails from that region and really knows his stuff.

You might find the off topic good for fun, maybe check out the mug shot thread and add yours?

Some really good guys and great techs, top vendors offering good pricing levels and great service, and more to come....all good

In the meantime I've upgraded you manually to full forum access so you can better view the site

Default Thanks to you all

Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome.
And, thank you Jim for giving me full access I appreciate it.
I'll have a look around and see what there is to see.

Yes i do live very close to Powell maybe 10 miles or so.
So, it's good to know there is someone I can trust that is close by.
And, I think I know where he lives cause I did notice one place on Home Road that had several Jags there.
So, I bet that's him.

I wish you all a good day.
