Intro - Jaguar S-Type
Hi everyone,
Currently own: 00 S-Type SE
Previously: 88 XJ40 Sovereign, 69 XJ6
I've owned my current car for 4 years and recently sold the XJ40 after 5 years.
According to my wife it is impossible to drive 2 Jags so I finally relented!
I bought the XJ6 in the mid 80's and only had it for 2 years but, by then there was no other car that I wanted. There was a long period where no Jag adorned my driveway but my wife made the mistake of going on holidays without me...the XJ40 materialised and she repeated the mistake a year later and the S-Type appeared.
I have now retired and moved to the country after 22 years in Perth, Australia. Now building a new house which should be completed in another 2 months.
The Jag is usually reserved for trips to and from Perth with a 07 Subaru Liberty (Legacy) our daily driver.
I am not a mechanic but I do have a good knowledge of mechanics and electrical/electronics as I am/was a "Scientific Instrument Maker" in the military, a computer technician and an Operations Manager for a Transport company.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
