Hi everybody feels great to join this mine of information and support, looking forward to boost my knowledge.
Happy new owner of a 1992 Daimler Double Six, will post pictures as soon as possible. Origin Japan as for many classics here in the UAE. Not really new to the 5.3l, I drove a '91 XJS for a few years...however not a star in mechanics or electrics, expect me posting very soon

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. As promised....

Not in perfect condition but well taken care of, 155k km, most stuff working except Speedo (lazy needle...) and oil pressure gauge seem to stay to hight for way too long.
So far did what I'd call the key 30-year maintenance: cleaned-up injectors, replaced all rubber pipes under bonnet (Master Injector kit) and trunk fuel lines, spark plugs (12, hopefully ), belts, fluids, skimmed the front disks, replaced most suspension & antiroll bushes etc.
