Hello everyone;
I own a 1999 Jaguar XK8 Convertible. It has been a great car and have not suffered from the common issues that I read about, but recently a mysteries problem appeared.

I have a scanner that has Jaguar Software and I am able to look at allot of information that only a dealer could normally see, but it seems it is not enough to determine my problem..

The car was running fine when parked and when I went to start it the next day it would start then stall 5 seconds later. It will repeat the start stall after resetting the key on and off. There absolutely no codes.

The fuel pump/relays and all is working for the 5 seconds then it shouts down. Everything that the service manual tells me to do I have done. I am an Engineering Tech and a Marine Eng Tech and a Journeyman Millwright and was a gas turbine FSR so I know control systems and mechanical systems very well so I can grasp the mechanical end of things but this is a puzzle.

I have bought a new ECM but discovered that the dealer needs to program it, but I am 300 miles from a dealer and the car does not run.
If anyone has had a similar experience I would love to hear from them.
