It's Official - I bought my XK8 today
Hi Everyone -
I was new a week or so ago and have really found the threads helpful in making my final decision. A special thanks to h20boy and jaguartech for their advice and opinions on everything.
I have been agonizing, losing sleep and hardly working at work over the decision to choose between 2 cars. Today, we decided to go drive another car for comparison, price was high.....but surprise, surprise.... we negotiated a deal and I drove home in my new2005 Jaguar XK8, Zircon over Ivory with a dark blue convertible top. Low miles and near perfect conditionAND on the advice of the Forum - it has Jaguar Select Warranty and I purchased from a Jaguar dealer in Maryland. This was my first color choice becauseit is different and something we rarely see in this area.
Some of you may remember that this Jaguar is as much about the fun of driving as it is about my love for my dad (lost in Dec) and his admiration of this beautiful machine. I'm sure he would approve and enjoy seeing me smile so much. His constant advice to me "Lighten Up and Enjoy Life". I think I will.
I'llinclude a picture in a couple of days in the XK section - my new hangout.
Now, if I can sleep without worrying about the payments - I will be set !

So glad you finally jumped in, a 2005...wow, sounds nice. Somehow I think the Zircon exterior suits you very well. Dad would be proud of you. Did it come with Navigation? Not a biggie, but one of the larger options on these beauties. And women love to use it. lol

LuvmyK9 I am glad you went with a newer car. Regardless of your loss of sleep about payment, your sleep will come back with piece of mind owning the car with better warranty.
Is this one of the ones you asked me to look at or something different? If different PM me the last six.....you know the drill.....lol
