Hey everybody!

New member here but have been on this forum for a couple of months looking at info, reading posts, looking at your upgrades, etc.

I have a Black 2004 Jaguar X-Type 3.0. I'm fairly new to personally working on cars but put in some work previously.

So far I have plasti-dipped my chrome window trim, grill, running strips on front and back and back chrome piece above the license plate.

The next things I would like to do:

- take off wheels, deep clean rims inside and out
- replace stock lugs with black lugs
- plasti dip rims
- tint windows
- dvd in dash / bluetooth
- replace rear speakers

I have been looking on the forums for information to my specific needs but still have some questions.

Finding out what lug nuts will fit for sure is proving a little tricky
I also am having doubts on if I should try to replace the radio or not. I know many people have had success with changing to a double din and I have rad other places that its not even worth it due to the fiber optic cable and that you would have to have several amps and rewire the whole car. I was going to go through crutchfield because they have all the wiring and harness etc and it all comes with it but I am not sure if it will be correct.

Anyway, thanks for all the info etc. I have already got on this forum. I hope to be here for a long time!

welcome to the forum, as you have found there is a wealth of info and support here.

No need for the links to the technical section as you have been reading up for a while, but do pay attention to the first few threads containing the How To's, etc.

For info on local events/news, check out the Midwest regional section:

Lastly recommend adding a signature to your profile by clicking the user cp link in the upper left - include model and year for best responses to any questions you may have

enjoy!!

Welcome to the forum tobiastorgenson,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums and to hear you have already found useful information..

No need for a link to the X-Type tech forum. T
he 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thanks so much for the welcomes and info. I am on several other forums regarding other topics so I am trying to read and learn a little more to be able to understand the culture and specific rules/appropriate behavior for this forum. I look forward to being a part of the forum
