Default junkyard buy

Bought a 96 XJ6 at an auto auction in little Oak Harbor, WA. Never been to one but saw that they had an Acura and a Jag they were auctioning. Acura was destroyed but the Jag looked cool except for no keys, did not know if it ran or was blown, moss and slime in every crack on the body. Anyway I took $600 out and told myself that was max. $600 was the winning bid. Got a key from the dealer, tried to drain the old gas, charged the dead battery, and it started instantly. Put in $2200 for tires, tune up, new hoses, brakes, tranny tune and a few other things. Everything works, even the AC. I am Mr Lucky.

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Default Thanks for the welcomes

So a bit more background. I had just sold my 68 Old Toronado 3 days before the auction where i bought the Jag. Thought the Olds was the best car ever made, but some lady ran a stop sign, destroyed her car and damaged the Olds. I drove it mangled for about a year then was finally convinced to be done with it. Thought my future was a Toyota or Honda as the wife was putting on heavy pressure for me to be responsible, and of course was depressed about it all but some karma for want of a better word had other ideas as to my car fate. Now after 3 weeks of Jag ownership I will remain loyal to these beautiful rides, and even sweeter the wife is putting on heavy pressure to give her the jag. oh how the worm has turned.
